Movement - Pillar 3

Moving your body also reduces stress and anxiety plus it supports your gut health. Studies have shown that exercise increases the good bacteria that help with the production of short-chain fatty acids. These fatty acids reduce the risk of inflammatory diseases as well as type 2 diabetes, obesity, and heart disease.
The best way to move your body is your choice!
Walking in nature can help spark feelings of joy and relaxation. Awaken your senses to take in the experience. Get up and dance 💃🏻 for a few minutes, get that energy flowing through your body and release any tension in your body.
A few rounds of sun salutations improves circulation, lubricates your joints and supports gut function. ⠀
Pick up a set up light dumbbells the next time you're watching tv and do a few bicep curls or tricep extensions. Include strength training in your exercise routine to help maintain muscle mass and support bone loss, which occurs while we age.
Use your smart watch to remind you to get up from your desk for a full body stretch and a quick walk around the house or outside.
How will you move your body today?
