Pillar #1 - Body Wisdom

Our bodies are constantly sending us messages. Pay attention and ask what it needs. Be in partnership with your body by cultivating a healthy relationship that supports you through midlife and beyond.

Pain and discomfort can manifest in your body when accumulated emotions are not released. A tension headache can be an accumulation of stress, back pain can be emotions accumulated in your hips.

Slow down. Close your eyes and take a moment to breathe and connect with yourself. Where are you holding tension? Breath into that place. Release and relax.

Try checking in with yourself throughout the day to start building that deep connection with yourself. When you do this regularly, you'll begin noticing what's supporting you and what you can eliminate or stop doing. For example: Perhaps the cup of coffee you need in the afternoon for an energy boost is keeping you awake at night. Instead of having coffee, you could take a walk, dance, do a yoga flow, or meditate to lift your energy.

Check in with your body now. What is it telling you? What support can you offer?
